I am a Mechanical Design Engineer with hands-on experience in product design, CAD modeling, and manufacturing support, with a strong focus on developing production-ready and efficient engineering solutions. My work involves translating concepts into functional designs using SolidWorks, Siemens NX, and AutoCAD, ensuring accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with engineering standards. I have practical exposure to additive manufacturing, reverse engineering, and design validation, along with experience in uPVC profile systems, automotive components, and industrial fixtures. I regularly work with GD&T, BOM creation, and DFM/DFA principles to optimize designs for real-world applications. My approach combines material understanding, structural performance, and manufacturing feasibility to deliver reliable and scalable products. I have also been involved in testing, inspection, and continuous improvement workflows, ensuring design intent aligns with production realities.

🔹 Product Design & Development

  • End-to-end product design from concept development to production release 
  • Design and optimization of uPVC door and window profiles for structural strength and fitment 
  • Development of functional components ensuring assembly compatibility and performance 
  • Integration of design intent with manufacturing constraints and real-world applications 
  • Continuous design improvements based on testing, feedback, and validation cycles

🔹 CAD Modeling & Engineering Tools

  • Proficient in SolidWorks, Siemens NX (UG NX), and AutoCAD for 3D modeling and detailing 
  • Creation of parametric models, assemblies, and production-ready 2D drawings 
  • Reverse engineering using 3D scanning data and CAD reconstruction workflows 
  • Preparation of BOMs and structured design documentation for manufacturing 
  • Experience in handling complex geometries and multi-component assemblies 

🔹 Manufacturing & DFM/DFA Implementation

  • Application of Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFM/DFA) principles 
  • Design of jigs, fixtures, clamps, and working tables for improved production efficiency 
  • Understanding of extrusion processes, die correction, and material behavior (uPVC, polymers) 
  • Optimization of designs for cost reduction, ease of fabrication, and assembly accuracy 
  • Exposure to additive manufacturing with focus on prototype validation and iteration

🔹 Analysis, Validation & Engineering Practices

  • Basic static, modal, and vibration analysis using ANSYS concepts 
  • Material selection and comparative analysis (e.g., Steel vs. PA6-GF30 composites) 
  • Application of GD&T for functional fit, tolerance control, and interchangeability 
  • Product testing, inspection, and validation for dimensional and functional compliance 
  • Root cause analysis and continuous improvement support in R&D and production environments
