A Mechanical Freelancing Hub

Seeking a mechanical CAD design engineer to redesign an existing printer structure into a fabrication-ready mechanical frame, based on attached reference images. This is a redesign task, not a new concept.  

 Scope of Work / Submissions: 

• Redesign of center-pivot tower crane–style printer structure
• Telescopic jib: 3 m retracted to 4 m extended
• 3 m central pillar with 4-stage telescopic hydraulic piston
• 3 degrees of freedom only: 360° base rotation
• Z-axis elevation, jib extension/retraction
• 1.2 m diameter base with 4 hydraulic outriggers
• Total structure weight target: 800–1200 kg
• Maximum allowable tip deflection at 4 m: ±5 mm

Deliverables / Formats: 

• High-fidelity 3D CAD models (parts + assembly)
• Native CAD files (SolidWorks)
• Neutral formats: STEP
• Basic motion animation showing rotation, elevation, and extension
