Optimization & validation of an existing die-cast component for production manufacturing. Scope includes CAD geometry cleanup, manufacturability review, die-casting process simulation, and design refinement to improve mold filling, solidification behavior, thermal performance, and overall production efficiency while preserving functional and critical mating surfaces.

Technical Deliverables:
• Updated production-ready CAD model (.DWG and STEP).
• Die-casting simulation covering filling, solidification, thermal cycling, air entrapment, shrinkage risk, and potential misruns.
• Recommendations for draft angles, wall thickness distribution, rib geometry, gating layout, overflow locations, and tooling considerations.
• Simulation report with process parameters, result visualizations, hotspot analysis, and manufacturability improvements.
• Annotated engineering documentation describing all accepted design modifications and their impact on cycle time, scrap reduction, and mold performance.
