A Mechanical Freelancing Hub

Looking for an experienced mechanical/CAD engineer to redesign an automotive engine crossmember from a provided 3D scan. The objective is to retain all critical mounting geometry while converting the part into a fabrication-ready welded sheet metal assembly.

The redesign must use:

• Flat 3 mm steel sheet metal 
• Press brake bending 
• Welded construction (no complex stamped/organic surfaces) 

Key expectations:

• Accurate recreation of mounting points from scan data 
• Proper bend radii & DFM-compliant geometry 
• Weld locating tabs/notches for assembly alignment
