We need an experienced sheet metal/mechanical design engineer to develop a 3D CAD model and production-ready DXF flat patterns for a rear enclosure extension, converting an existing machine into a unified, mobile all-in-one workstation.
Key Requirements:
- Envelope: 1418 mm height × 766 mm width, with a 450 mm rear extension matching the existing width for a flush fit.
- Base & Mobility: Single continuous C-channel steel base with exactly four heavy-duty corner casters.
- Lifting Structure: Four top-corner crane lifting hooks tied directly to internal load-bearing vertical columns, while keeping the existing top exhaust fan unobstructed.
- Multi-Tier Layout:
- Top: Front-facing console with 10-inch touchscreen and electrical breaker cutouts.
- Middle: Shelf for a mechanical unit mounted on rubber vibration isolators.
- Bottom: Heavy power-module compartment with rear ventilation mesh.
- Concealed Side Vault: Recessed, dust-tight right-side cabinet with a flush-locking door, secure manual gun-tool holster and 350 mm diameter mandrel spool for 20 metres of heavy umbilical cable.
- Material: 1.5 mm mild steel, with flat patterns accounting for standard air-bending bend deductions.
Deliverables
- Complete 3D CAD assembly with editable components.
- Production-ready DXF flat patterns for sheet metal parts.
- Fabrication drawings with dimensions, bend details and assembly interfaces.
- Structural detailing for lifting points, base frame, caster mounting and internal supports.
