A Mechanical Freelancing Hub

We’re looking for a product designer or mechanical engineer to develop custom plastic moulds for casting interlocking pavers and curbstones in distinctive, non-standard geometries that differentiate our product range from conventional rectangular and hexagonal designs.

Scope of Work:

• Develop 3D CAD models of each mould cavity based on our sketches and references.
• Prepare manufacturing drawings with complete dimensions, draft angles, tolerances and gate/runner recommendations.
• Design moulds for easy concrete release, dimensional consistency and repeated daily use.
• Recommend suitable mould materials, comparing PP, PE, PVC and alternative polymers for durability, concrete compatibility and service life.

Deliverables:

• 3D CAD models in STEP and STL formats.
• Dimensioned 2D technical drawings with manufacturing details.
• Material comparison sheet covering pros, cons and estimated lifespan in concrete-casting conditions.

Acceptance Criteria

• Minimum 2° draft angles on demoulding surfaces.
• Minimum 3–4 mm wall thickness, with reinforcing ribs where required to prevent warping.
• No undercuts that could trap the cast concrete.
