Casting Simulation & Process Optimization

  • Led simulation projects on ingot and sand castings using advanced casting simulation software to analyze solidification behavior, shrinkage porosity, and flow defects.
     
  • Performed meshing and 3D modeling of gating and riser systems to ensure directional solidification and minimize hot spots.

  • Conducted feasibility analysis, DFM/DFA studies, and FMEA for new parts introduced under IATF 16949:2016 compliant processes.
     
  • Generated and maintained BOMs and technical documentation compliant with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 standards.
     
  • Involved in prototype evaluation, dimensional inspection, and release of components for PPAP submissions.
     
  • Coordinated with cross-functional teams to ensure tool designs align with process capability and production schedules.

Manufacturing Engineering & Process Improvement


  • Applied Kaizen and PDCA methodologies for continuous improvement in production cells, reducing cycle time and improving productivity.
     
  • Conducted Process Control Plans (PCP), Control Characteristics (CC & SC) identification, and applied 7 QC tools for root cause analysis.
     
  • Implemented 5S, CLIT (Cleaning, Lubrication, Inspection & Tightening), SWCT, JSRA, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) across production lines.
     
  • Supported preventive and autonomous maintenance programs to improve equipment uptime and reduce breakdown rates.
     
  • Contributed to lean manufacturing efforts and waste management practices to increase shop floor efficiency.
