PieCube is a freelancing platform for engineers who are already working or aspiring to work in Mechanical CAD & CAE domain, as freelancers.
At PieCube, freelancers engage in a wide spectrum of mechanical design and analysis projects spanning multiple industries. The work includes CAD design, 3D modeling, 2D drafting, sheet metal, weldment, and surfacing, along with CAE simulations such as FEA, CFD, thermal, and acoustic analysis.
Projects also extend into technical documentation, GA drawings, P&IDs, system engineering, process design, and product development, providing engineers with exposure to real industrial workflows.
Industries served include automotive, HVAC systems, heavy machinery, construction equipment, molds and plastics, home appliances, electronics, agricultural machinery, defense, aviation, oil & gas, industrial automation, and SPMs, among many others.
Freelancers, based on their expertise & interest, reach projects with certain parameters like:
Duration: How quickly can you complete the project?
Cost: How much you would charge for the project?
Proposal: A concise message conveying your first response to the project's need.
Use a connection to bid over the project of your choice.
PieCube assists you at every step of your freelancing journey, from writing a great proposal to technical assistance in ongoing projects.
We also make sure to provide you assured projects.

Work from anywhere you wish, on live industrial projects, as a freelancer! Deliver 3D models, drawings or analysis without ever going to the factory.

We're working on a mechanical plastic mouse trap and need a complete 3D model that captures every functional part and shows how those parts move together. The emphasis is on accurate, production-ready geometry rather than photorealistic textures.
Clearances between parts should reflect realistic plastic tolerances so the trap can be prototyped without extra rework.

Key Scope & Technical Requirements:
• Convert STL/OBJ mesh → parametric CAD model
• Rebuild 5 helical flow channels using true circular cross-sections
• Use sweep/centerline-based modeling (no faceted geometry)
Geometry & Design Control:
• Enable parametric control of channel diameter
• Ensure proportional body scaling (non-uniform, relation-driven)

We need a skilled 3D designer to create a factory-style housing for an aftermarket CarPlay/Android Auto screen that will sit seamlessly in the dashboard of a GreatWall C20.
The finished part should look like it rolled out of the assembly line—no visible cables, gaps, or “stuck-on” appearance.
Key details:
• Measurements: we'll supply exact screen & cut-out dimensions

We've a wooden stool with huge dowels and we want to attach an assembly that can allow a pencil pot to be slotted onto the wooden dowel the whole point is the pencil pot is able to be detached and removed when needed. There are two parts that need to be designed.
1. The immovable base which will be permanently attached to the stool
2. The pencil pot with a slot

We've an early concept for a multi-purpose woodturning tool and we need to turn that idea into a build-ready prototype. Your primary task is to translate the concept into detailed 3D CAD and engineering drawings.
The finished design must handle both hardwoods and softwoods without swapping cutters mid-project, so balance, vibration control and edge durability are critical.
